Thank You to Everyone for Making Centennial Race Weekend the Once in a Lifetime Event it was
Congratulations to Matt Williamson and Jeff Behrent.
Matt is a champion in the mold of all the great legends in OCFS history and I’m sure we all look forward to seeing Matt win many more big races in the future.
Jeff and his family are part of the fabric of OCFS and to see him win with a car honoring his father truly represents the best of the Centennial spirit.
We’d like to thank the 100’s of employees and workers that without your hard work and commitment we couldn’t have pulled off this amazing four day celebration. I’m very proud how everyone responded to all the changes we’ve made and the higher expectations that will make us the premier dirt track in the Northeast.
Thank you to all our partners and sponsors that participated and helped behind the scenes.
We couldn’t have managed the thousands of people attending the concert and races this week without the support and assistances of our public officials and the incredible job our police and fire agencies performed.
Thank you to Tim McGraw and everyone involved in one kick ass show! As usual Dynamic productions gave us unbelievable sound and impressively transformed a concert venue to a race track in 12 hours! And to Chris Cafferey that on the 50th anniversary of Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock reminded us all our National Anthem in whatever format is special and for us all.
The Centennial documentary and the video on demand production were outstanding. Thank you to that entire production team.
Thank you Michael Waltrip for making OCFS home and a big thanks to Tom Ackerman, Trip Bruce, Stewart Friesen,Sheldon Creed,GMS and NASCAR for helping us have a little fun!
Thank you to our friends at competing tracks that graciously altered their schedules to enable this historic event that celebrated all of Northeastern Big Block Modified Racing.
It couldn’t be the race of the century without the best Modified drivers in the country. The field collectively had over 4000 victories and many dozens of championships. Your talent, professionalism and passion are unparalleled in motorsports. In the future when we look back at OCFS greatest moments this will be one of the most talented fields of all time. Thank you all for making our 100th year our most memorable.
Thank you Buzzie Reutimann, Will Cagel and Gary Balough for taking us down memory lane seeing you all back out on the track
And finally thank you to the thousands of fans that attended our events celebrating our centennial. I wish I could personally thank again the hundreds of you I met that offered so many positive comments. I was truly humbled. From the young fellow that had been attending for over 70 years, the guys from California and all of you that hung with it Saturday night, I am honored by your support. For us our centennial was more than just a race with a big purse. It was a celebration of longevity unsurpassed in dirt racing. It was a celebration of 100 years of history which our fans are the biggest part of.
See you all at the races!
Chris & Mike
