Saturday, August 24th - Ladies Night at OCFS!
Following a great Centennial Week, racing resumes at Orange County Fair Speedway with the King of the Catskills Qualifier for the Big-Block Modifieds. In addition, It’s Ladies Night, with a special half off general admission for the ladies and a drink special for ladies over 21 at the 31st Lap Tavern.
The winner of the headline Big-Block Modifieds 30-lap feature race will automatically gain a starting position in the upcoming King of the Catskills race at Accord Speedway later this season. Time trials and qualifying races will set the field for this second-to-last race meet of weekly competition. Modified drivers thus have two incentives to score a victory this Saturday night. First, there’s the automatic starting spot in the King of the Catskills race. And second, drivers want to score as many points as possible to vie for the track point championship. The Orange County modified champion will earn a $40,000 bonus at season end!
The Sportsman and Street Stock divisions are also on the program, with their own qualifying and feature races.
Admission prices for the August 24 race meet remain at $20 adult and $5 for children 10 and under. Free souvenir program. The competitor pits open at 2:30 pm; grandstands, bleachers, and drive-in at 4:00 pm. The full night of racing begins promptly at 6:30 pm.
